David Trubridge

David Trubridge is an award-winning lighting designer based out of New Zealand. The signature of his modern lighting design is leaving sustainably-sourced bamboo untouched where appropriate, producing sculptural pendant lights from non-toxic and renewable sources. Every pendant light has an element of biophilic design, with the form directly inspired by nature. As such, Trubridge pendants qualify for LEED, Wellness, and Living Building projects. These iconic pendants cast intricate shadow patterns upon surfaces and are an instant “wow-factor” for any space.

All of David Trubridge’s light fixtures are available in multiple sizes and finishes, and the range can be outfitted from a singular task light or large-scale statement piece. Consider a grouping of multiple fixtures to fill spacial void and illuminate, beatifully. Suitable for high-end residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.

HUSH acoustic lights were developed through a New Zealand-based collaboration between David Trubridge Design and PLN Group – a pairing of a world class leader in environmentally conscious design and a firm known for their research-based approach to workplace solutions.

Available in 11 colors, 4 sizes, with LED and E26 options. Safe transparent materials, and suitable for WELL Building Standard, LEED and/or Living Building requirements. Acoustic Reports are available. HUSH is scientifically proven to significantly reduce reverberated noise and is ideal for installations in commercial, hospitality and residential spaces. From Stephen Pikus Design in South Africa, the TRuK lighting range is a unique, beautiful solution that embodies a concept of beauty in utility. These fixtures begin life as automotive air filters, with some spending up to 10,000+ hours under the hood of a diesel engine haul truck, digger, etc. Stephen’s local team works closely with micro recyclers to repurpose these discarded diesel truck filters to create each unique light, leaving a footprint of love and respect both for people and the environment.

TRuK light fixtures are available in 4 sizes and 4 finishes – suitable for high-end residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.

Truk

From Stephen Pikus Design, the TRuK lighting range is a unique, beautiful solution that embodies a concept of elegance in utility. These light fixtures begin life as automotive air filters, with some spending up to 10,000+ hours under the hood of a diesel engine haul truck before the team rescues and refurbishes them. Stephen’s local team (located in Johannesburg, South Africa) works closely with micro recyclers to repurpose these discarded diesel truck filters to create each unique light, leaving a footprint of love and respect both for people and the environment.

Years later, Stephen and his team of artisans often work with South Africa’s top interior designers and architects. They have been steadily partnering with automotive clients (Volvo, Bridgestone) that seek to improve their business’s sustainability without sacrificing artistry and quality.

TRuK light fixtures are available in 4 sizes and 4 finishes with the option for outdoor-rated electrics during the specification process – suitable for high-end residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.

Luminosa

Luminosa draws on old world skills combined with contemporary design aesthetic and modern production techniques to create a wonderful range of pendant lights from Mexico. Jonathan Baskett’s design business is also a community project as he draws on many local designers and artisans who contribute to the range. Some designs are inspired by nature and the local flora and fauna of San Miguel de Allende where Jonathan’s studio is located. A variety of materials including molten glass, hand-beaten recycled copper, and cast ceramic are crafted by hand, resulting in a lighting collection that delivers a unique and yet familiar warmth to any space.

Luminosa’s range offers a variety of sizes and finishes to fit any interior’s aesthetic, uniquely suitable for hospitality and high-end residential projects.

The city of Johannesburg is still developing city-wide recycling ordinances and Stephen’s local team works closely with micro recyclers to sort through broken glass and diesel truck filters to create each unique fixture. Their mission is to produce unique, beautiful products, leaving a footprint of love and respect both for people and the environment. 

Pieces of smoothed opaque glass are individually strung together and upcycled to create an intricate, functional work of art. These industrial yet high-end lighting chandeliers can be custom made in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors and finishes to complement any space.
